Are you an experienced Engineering Team Leader or Senior Maintenance Engineer ready to step into a leadership role?

We're recruiting for an Engineering Shift Team Leader to join a successful manufacturing business, supporting a team of engineers while remaining hands-on with maintenance, fault finding and continuous improvement across a busy production facility.

This is a fantastic opportunity to combine technical expertise with leadership in a stable, well-established manufacturing environment.

The Role

You'll be responsible for supporting the Engineering Manager while leading engineers during your shift to ensure production equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Duties include:

• Supervising and supporting the engineering team
\n
• Leading electrical and mechanical fault finding on automated production equipment
\n
• Coordinating Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
\n
• Carrying out hands-on maintenance and repairs
\n
• Supporting continuous improvement activities
\n
• Training and mentoring engineers and apprentices
\n
• Maintaining engineering records and compliance documentation
\n
• Deputising for the Engineering Manager when required
\n
• Participating in the engineering call-out rota
\n

What We're Looking For

To be successful, you'll have:

\n
• Electrical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
\n
• Strong electrical fault-finding ability
\n
• Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or another high-speed production environment
\n
• Experience working on automated manufacturing machinery
\n
• Previous supervisory, team leader or people management experience
\n
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
\n
• A proactive and flexible approach to engineering
\n

• Overtime paid at 1.25x after 40 hours
\n
• Weekly call-out allowance (£100 standby payment plus £50 per call-out, plus hourly rate when attending)

Shift Pattern

Week 1

\n
• Monday-Saturday: 6:00am-1:45pm
\n

Week 2

\n
• Monday-Friday: 1:45pm-9:45pm
\n
